FAQ

WHAT AGE IS THE RIGHT AGE FOR BRACES?

The American Association of Orthodontists recommends that an evaluation for orthodontic issues should occur no later than age 7. By age 7, the first permanent molars have typically erupted, allowing the orthodontists to identify the potential bite issues, crowding, and/or jaw discrepancies.

Regardless of your age, our staff will make you feel right at home and comfortable for the entirety of your treatment. We are always available to answer any questions you may have and are committed to giving you the best smile possible.

HOW LONG DO I NEED BRACES FOR?

On average it takes anywhere from 12-24 months to complete a comprehensive orthodontic treatment. Some patients require less than 12 months, and some may need treatment for more than 24 months. Orthodontic treatment is unique for each patient and is not a one-size-fits-all treatment.

Why do some children need to get braces at a younger age?

The goal of early orthodontic diagnosis and treatment is to help the child have a beautiful smile, confidence, and healthy oral functions to prevent later problems.
